Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Reporting & Analytics Manager for their Healthcare Security Client in California.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Reporting and Analytics Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of the data strategy for a security division with over 5,000 employees. This role involves overseeing the reporting and analytics functions, designing and building dashboards, ensuring data integrity, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, process improvement, automation, and reporting, combined with strategic thinking and leadership skills. This position will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that data initiatives align with business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities/ Duties:

Data Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization’s business objectives.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that support strategic goals.

Reporting and Analytics Management:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of reporting systems and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of regular and ad-hoc reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, to enhance decision-making processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Ops, Finance, HR, and other departments to ensure data initiatives are integrated and aligned with overall business processes.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and the data analytics function to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, providing guidance on best practices in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team members are meeting objectives.

Technology and Tool Management:

  • Evaluate and select appropriate data analytics and reporting tools, ensuring they meet the organization's needs and are scalable.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements or new solutions.
  • Oversee the integration of data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse or platform.

Data Quality and Compliance:

  • Implement data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies related to data security and confidentiality.
  • Regularly audit data processes and systems to identify and rectify any issues.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in data management, analytics, and reporting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies in a mid to large organization.
  • Training in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
  • Training with BI tools such as Power BI, DOMO, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data integration practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Domo, SQL, Python, R).
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for data-driven improvements.
  • Understanding of relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications at Entry:

  • Be 18 years of age and possess an Associate's Degree
  • Have a reliable and functional means of communication (i.e., cell phone)
  • The legal right to work in the United States
  • Possess a valid government-issued driver’s license or state-issued I.D.
  • An active state-issued guard card preferred
  • Successfully pass the client’s pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Health Screen, Criminal
  • Background Check)
  • Ability to properly wear an N95 mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines while onsite
