Position Summary

The Manager, Mail & Distribution oversees the day-to-day processing of incoming and interoffice mail and parcels for the University community at the Manhattan and Brooklyn locations. Investigate and resolve escalated customer issues and complaints. Manage the inbound tracking system. Collect and analyze University shipping data and develop quarterly utilization and spending reports for senior management. Maintain the University's chartfields for mail charges. Ensure automated mail processing, mail management equipment, and related software are maintained and operational.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience in mailroom operations, distribution services, or logistics management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proven experience with leading others or managing team. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with postal regulations, shipping methods, and related software/systems. Proficiency in using mail tracking systems and distribution software.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
