Information Technology Manager

Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Information Technology (IT) Manager! This role is responsible for identifying and addressing the IT needs of our organization, while ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective computer systems to meet our business requirements. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, with a strong technical background, while also possessing the strategic vision necessary to align IT initiatives with the company's long-term goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day IT Operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring of all hardware and software issues
• Maintain the organization s IT infrastructure, including operating systems, servers, applications, and security tools
• Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information
• Lead and manage IT projects, including the deployment of new IT systems and services
• Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders to develop solutions for IT needs
• Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
• Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
• Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in emergencies or data loss
• Responsible for overseeing and coordinating 24-hour technical support across four different locations
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience working in IT operations
• Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies

Job Details:

Job Type: Regular Full-Time

Job Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm; understanding that there will be on-call and special projects outside of these hours

Work Location: Onsite in Friesland, WI

Travel Requirements: 0-5% - Occasional travel to our farm locations (within 2 hours of Friesland)

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent working knowledge of computer hardware, networking, software, programming, and technical knowledge
• Experience with virtualized environments such as VMware
• Experience with firewalls, VPN s, Active Directory, and Group Policy Desired
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
• Strong communication skills and analytical ability
• Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
• SQL and database management experience a plus
• ERP System knowledge and experience, Business Central preferred
• Supervisory experience required
• Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team.
• Able to travel as needed
• Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software as both a user and at a supervisor level
• Valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record

Physical and Environmental Demands:

• The ability to sit/stand in one place for extended periods
• Various repetitive movements. Good manual dexterity to perform required duties
• Exposure to airborne particles or fumes
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times
• Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
