Each Co-op will be assigned to a single function with a specific project for the 6-month term.The typical Co-op term is from Jan 2025 – Jun 2025.Key Responsibilities:The TDS-API Process Development organization is seeking a candidate interested in Gene Therapy process development. Adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors are the primary gene therapy platform for a variety of human diseases. - Leading a collaborative project to develop novel and highly advanced high throughput methods for rapid analysis of gene therapies.
- Analyze and interpret experimental results using analytical and statistical techniques. Actively participate in weekly meetings with internal and external collaborators.
- Participate in technical discussions on design of experiments to fill gaps in knowledge.
- Maintain a laboratory notebook and other technical documents according to required guidelines.
- Provide other project support as needed.
- Biology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and related majors are preferred.
- Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience, Master’s, or PhD degree or equivalent experience. For students pursuing their Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Juniors or Seniors are preferred.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshmen year at an accredited University is required.
- Candidate must have previous experience with liquid chromatography
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred
- Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while performing results
- Must be a self-starter works independently while supplying to the team goals
- Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired
- Students with basic laboratory skills and experience in research, experimental design & execution, and data analysis preferred.
