Linux System Administrator

Piper Companies is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join a leading healthcare organization for a 100% REMOTE, contract to hire role , preference is for candidates in Pennsylvania , New Jersey , or Delaware .

Responsibilities for the Linux Systems Administrator:

• Deploy and maintain Linux-based operating systems
• Administer and manage RedHat Linux systems
• Configure and support web technologies such as Apache and Tomcat
• Install, configure, and maintain databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• Configure system-level networking and firewalls
• Manage and support Active Directory integrations
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure optimal performance
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems and processes
• Automate tasks and workflows using scripting tools

Qualifications for the Linux Systems Administrator:

• Strong Linux systems administration experience (preferably RedHat)
• Basic networking experience, including firewall configurations
• Experience with web technologies (Apache, Tomcat)
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• Active Directory experience
• Proficiency in scripting for automation
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management, exposure to Azure preferred

Compensation for the Linux Systems Administrator:

• Annual salary: $80,000 - $85,000 conversion salary
• Contract to hire opportunity
• 100% remote
