We offer our customers high quality safety boots for professional use in sectors such as agriculture, food processing, construction, infrastructure, mining and oil & gas. We are currently expanding our team and looking for dedicated individuals to join us at our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing aluminum mold maintenance; both preventative and repairs for rotatory Injection molding machines. You must be comfortable performing physical labor, such as lifting up to 52 pounds and working on your feet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance checks on the mold before and after each production cycle
  • Cleans molds to ensure production of quality parts
  • Keep the molds maintained ready for change over as per the weekly mold change schedule
  • Document work done on the mold by completing the mold PM checklist and mold PM log
  • Keep mold inventory and 5S mold storage area
  • Knowledge of milling machines, surface grinders, welding (aluminum), related shop equipment, and precision measurement devices
  • Ability to read and understand procedures, and/or schedules
  • Punctuality, dependability, and detailed
  • Experience communicating effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to become familiar with materials and resins used in manufacturing
  • Experience and/or the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ensures product is consistent with product quality and adherence to the Quality System
  • Responsible for performing mold changes as dictated by the schedule
  • Review work orders to insure the correct issuing of date stamps, inserts, etc
  • Basic understanding of basic electrical as they apply to the molding floor. The ability to check fuses

Required Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Maintenance trade experience preferred

Job Experience:

  • Use of basic hand tools
  • Experience with injection molding machines and automation

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to repair and maintain production equipment
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance
  • Basic Mechanical knowledge
  • Basic computer knowledge

Compensation:

$22 per hour
