Job Title: Technology Transformation Project Manager

Location: Hybrid – New Jersey & Remote

Company Overview: Veritas Veterinary Partners is a leading provider in the specialty and emergency veterinary medicine industry, dedicated to enhancing the quality of care through innovative technology and efficient operations. We are seeking an experienced Technology Transformation Project Manager to lead a practice management information system (PIMS) transition and other enterprise technology implementations/migrations across our veterinary hospitals in NJ, NY, CO, NV and CA.

Position Overview: As the Technology Transformation Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation and transition of PIMS and various other enterprise IT systems (i.e. ATS, workforce management, HRIS), ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. You will leverage your expertise in major systems transitions and organizational change management to drive operational efficiencies and enhance workflows and practice management capabilities across our hospitals. This role demands a highly organized individual with exceptional communication skills and a strong technological and project or program management background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and transition of PIMS and other enterprise IT systems in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-site healthcare environment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders, including veterinary hospital staff, leadership, and IT and field operations teams, managing projects through influence to gain buy-in and support
  • Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on software, systems, point solutions and enterprise capabilities with a particular focus on ensuring a seamless rollout and implementation of the ezyVet PIMS and various related system integrations across our fourteen hospitals
  • Financial Acumen: Partner with the finance team to evaluate return on investment (ROI) for technology initiatives, building compelling business cases to support project funding and prioritization
  • Communication: Effectively communicate project objectives, progress, and outcomes to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and engagement throughout the organization
  • Organizational Skills: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation to ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards
  • Training and Support: Oversee training initiatives for staff to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes, rapidly identifying and addressing any challenges that arise during implementation
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project performance against key metrics and deliverables, adjusting strategies as needed to meet timelines and objectives
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and best practices within clinical operations and technology management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CPM and/or PMIT
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within multi-site healthcare environments preferred, specifically with practice management information systems (PIMS) and/or ERP transitions
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the veterinary medicine industry, particularly for those with familiarity with the ezyVet and Impromed PIMS systems
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for building relationships and influencing stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of technology infrastructure and systems within a healthcare setting
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and experience evaluating ROI and developing business cases
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting timelines and delivering projects on schedule
