As a Dispatch Manager At Hermes Worldwide, You Will

  • Lead with Passion: Guide and inspire our local and remote dispatch team to excel at managing a busy passenger transportation dispatch board.
  • Get Hands-On: Dive into dispatch duties, showcasing your expertise and versatility.
  • Support & Innovate: Provide valuable guidance, oversight, and creative problem-solving to elevate the team's performance.
  • Communicate Clearly: Ensure seamless communication about dispatch team responsibilities and processes.
  • Develop Talent: Oversee all aspects of team development, from recruiting and training to coaching and performance management.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with other departments to ensure timely responses to requests and keep the entire Hermes team prepared for success.
  • Handle with Care: Assist with client concerns, managing deviations and incidents with grace and professionalism.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with prior dispatch or logistics industry experience.
  • Leadership: Over two years of successful team leadership and customer service experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite is required; Mac experience is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a knack for multitasking.
  • Customer Service: Outstanding communication skills and a passion for delivering top-notch service.
  • Creative Solutions: Ability to think outside the box to tackle challenges.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work evenings and weekends to support team success. (Work every other weekend with Mondays off!)
