National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Manager

Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking a NEPA specialist to work with our team in a project management/leadership role. This position is based in the Sacramento, CA area and requires some presence at the Sacramento office. The position is full-time, salaried with full benefits.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of professional maturity, leadership, and the ability to work well with others, and willingness to make mistakes and grow.

Founded in 2000, ERG is an environmental consulting small business providing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Cultural Resources, Natural Resources, Compliance, Restoration, and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) services to federal, state, local/municipal, and commercial clients across the United States. ERG is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, and operates AmaTerra, ERG Texas Services, out of Austin, Texas to provide Texas state-wide services. We are a value-driven, employee-first company. Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Environmental Assessment and Environmental Impact Statement development
  • Understanding of implemented regulations of NEPA for federal clients
  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) environmental programs
  • Demonstrable attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple project components at one time
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet hard deadlines
  • Experience with estimating the level of effort for project tasks
  • Proficient in MSWord/Excel/Adobe Acrobat Pro/SharePoint
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, be responsive and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to pass DoD security clearances and background checks
  • US citizenship required
