About the position:

E Ink is seeking a Supplier Quality Program Manager who enjoys working in a fast-paced global environment, supporting manufacture of E ink s innovative materials. The Supplier Quality Program Manager will lead all supplier assessments, performance management, and improvement programs. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and actively managing E Ink Corporation s supply base from supplier qualification to day-to-day tracking and improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in Supply Chain Management, Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development along with E Ink Supplier Quality colleagues located in Taiwan and China.

Key roles and responsibilities include improving and expanding key supplier and contract manufacturers programs. The candidate will participate in development, review, and improvement of E Ink s key suppliers Quality Systems and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve, maintain, and manage supplier quality system for purchased material and service suppliers
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality colleagues at E Ink s sites in Taiwan and China to share best practices, implement global supplier management tools, and manage US-based suppliers to E Ink s Asian manufacturing sites
  • Maintain associated QMS Process documents, manage & upgrade systems as needed, train users and drive best practices
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics
  • Work with suppliers to ensure all necessary quality and performance management issues are rigorously addressed
  • Conduct periodic audits and surveys of suppliers facilities and processes to determine adequacy and capability of quality control and ability to comply with complete supplier quality requirements
  • Record, track, analyze and maintain supplier audit records
  • Define and issue corrective actions and remediation with suppliers as necessary. Assist in root cause investigations to facilitate timely resolution of action plans
  • Distribute Supplier Score Cards
  • Interact routinely with Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and Suppliers to proactively improve the quality and performance of suppliers and contract manufacturers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering preferred) with 10+ years of experience and accomplishments in quality management
  • Expertise in supplier management best practices, including quality systems and auditing
  • Strong statistical background
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and sustaining a quality management system across global supply chain(s)
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills with such tools as 8D, FMEA, Gauge R&R, SPC, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication & presentation skills with ability to provide unbiased reports that are detailed and highly accurate
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 10%

Preferences:

  • Certification as a ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and Master Black Belt, Black Belt, or Green Belt
  • Experience in managing suppliers of specialty chemicals and/or films used in the electronics industry
