This contract supports the operational environments of the USDA Office of the CIO's Information Security Center. This role is a Project Manager with proven experience with cybersecurity.
This is a surge support role which will last approximately 4 months from time of hire.
Duties/ Responsibilities
Task responsibilities include:
- Provide the next level of support, to execute projects right the first time, with agility to pivot to changing circumstances while still providing the desired results.
- Clearly and thoroughly define project and program scope early to appropriately resource projects and programs.
- Work with CPOC stakeholders to elicit requirements early so that scope is well defined, and scheduling is accurate.
- Support a consolidated view of all projects and identify similarities and opportunities to save time and resources.
- Provide guidance so projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Apply expertise in PMI-related processes to provide insight and guidance to CPOC leadership.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to plan, organize and structure work.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Experience motivating teams in a virtual environment.
- Proactively leads teams in the execution of complex tasks with minimal direction and produces high quality results.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and capabilities
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Project Management Professional certification

- Familiar with IT projects
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years experience
- BS in business administration, IT or any related field
- Project Management Professional certification

Salary:
- $120k -130k annually - The salary range offered is an estimate made in good faith, intended to encompass various experience levels.
