DVS is looking for an Asset Manager Lead/Project Manager to join our team in Alexandria, VA. This position is remote although local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage asset management projects, including the 3-year technical refresh cycle, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including OBIT, procurement, and logistics teams, to ensure smooth execution and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Report project status, including progress, issues, and solutions, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Asset Management:
    • Oversee the entire lifecycle of NSF-owned IT hardware assets, including workstations and mobile devices.
    • Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures in line with the 3-year technical refresh cycle.
    • Track asset inventory, usage, and maintenance schedules using ServiceNow.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standardization initiatives (CCPP and CAMP), and regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze asset data to optimize usage and reduce costs, particularly focusing on warranty expiries and replacement planning.
    • Establish and manage a bench stock of IT hardware supplies within the IT Service Desk workspace.
    • Manage the procurement, deployment, and replacement of approximately 1,000 workstations annually, and ensure efficient upgrade of 170 handheld mobile devices.

Qualifications:

  • Masters and 8 years' experience or Bachelors and 11 years' experience or High School Diploma and 17 years' experience.
  • Experience in asset management or a related role.
  • Proven experience in project management, with certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Required Skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • 8+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects
  • 8+ years of experience managing communications
  • 8+ years of customer service experience
  • 8+ years of Requirements Definition/Analysis
  • 8+ years of Design Analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 2+ years of ServiceNow experience

Desired Skills:

  • ITIL Service Management
  • 3+ years of Asset Management Leadership
