Job Title: CAD/CAM Designing Technician - 3Shape

Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 Annually based on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Designing Technician with expertise in 3Shape to join our dental lab team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing crowns, implant abutments, and pink tissue, while collaborating with vendors and assisting in milling and scanning cases. Your attention to detail and ability to manage case workflows will be essential in delivering high-quality dental products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design crowns, bridges, and implant abutments for the milling of zirconia products, including anterior and implant cases.
  • Manage the workflow of customer cases from initial setup to the final product, ensuring timely completion.
  • Communicate with vendors and doctors via email and phone regarding case details, material selection, technical issues, and delivery timelines.
  • Review and evaluate customer cases and production schedules to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Inspect cases at key stages to ensure that they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Fabricate, modify, or repair dental products according to the dentists instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and prevent potential damage or injuries.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Dental CAD/CAM design, specifically with complex cases involving implants, anteriors, and bridges.
  • Basic proficiency in English (fluency not required).
  • Experience with zirconia material selection for milling crowns.
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) certification is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in 3Shape and Exocad scanners and design software.
  • Familiarity with milling equipment is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with lab personnel and customers regarding technical and design-related issues.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing laboratory demands.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to a dental laboratory environment with dust, heat, and noise from grinders, ovens, and steamers.
  • May require extended periods of sitting and performing intricate work using small tools, with some physical strain from uncommon postures during fabrication.
