Salary: $50K-$60K DOE

Contractor Service & Fabrication, Inc. (CSFCO) is seeking an Junior Piping/Mechanical Estimator to join our team. As a Junior Piping/Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for helping the lead estimator calculate accurate major construction cost estimates, and you will be involved assisting in the planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of these projects.

Ideal candidate shall have excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. You should have a proven record of time management, some field and/or office experience performing mechanical work or cost estimates related to the Piping/Mechanical field.

Junior Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead estimator determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, labor and in-directs for industrial construction projects.
  • Assist the lead estimator research construction documents and analyzing specifications.
  • Assist the lead estimator in the preparation of estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
  • Assist the lead estimator to meet project goals, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Assist the lead estimator to ensure that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
  • Assist the lead estimator to regularly report to Management and keep clients updated on the project status. Identify risks, formulate contingency plans, and effectively manage risks that might impact cost and schedule of the estimates.
  • Assist the lead estimator in conducting site visits, and provide other services, like bid deliveries, when required.

Junior Estimator Requirements:

  • At least (2) years of experience as a Mechanical/Piping Estimating Assistant. Equivelent work experience within the Mechanical/Piping Construction Field with advanced excel knowledge is acceptable.
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills and demonstrable competency with estimating software.
  • Ability to travel and perform site visits.
