Job Summary:
As a Product Merchandising Coordinator at Empower Marketing Group, you will analyze sales history and implement strategic merchandising initiatives to enhance product visibility and sales. This role requires a highly organized, data-driven professional with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to ensure merchandising strategies are aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Data Analysis: Analyze past sales performance to identify trends, top-selling products, and opportunities for improvement. Provide data-driven recommendations for merchandising strategies.
- Merchandising Strategy Execution: Develop and implement merchandising plans that optimize product placement and presentation across online and physical sales channels.
- Inventory Collaboration: Work closely with inventory and supply chain teams to maintain proper stock levels, prevent overstocking or stockouts, and ensure timely product restocking.
- Sales Forecasting: Use historical data and market insights to forecast sales, guiding product reordering and assortment planning.
- New Product Launch Support: Assist in merchandising efforts for new product launches, ensuring effective product presentation and promotion.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and creative teams to align merchandising initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Market and Competitor Research: Conduct market research and monitor competitor activities to stay ahead of trends and improve merchandising effectiveness.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on sales performance, product turnover, and merchandising effectiveness for internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in merchandising or a related field, with a focus on sales analysis and strategy development.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, contractor-based role.
- Experience in e-commerce merchandising and retail environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with sales forecasting and inventory management processes.
