ABOUT ROLE

I.F. is seeking a motivated candidate to support the capital formation and investor servicing efforts for an entrepreneurial alternative investment management firm with several active and planned private investment funds focused on the farmland and agribusiness sector. Responsibilities include research, market mapping, analytics, marketing and client service support alongside an existing 5-person team focused on servicing a global institutional investor base and securing new capital commitments from prospective investors.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic and tactical support of I.F.’s investment objectives across current and new fund offerings
  • Leverage investment activity, valuation analysis, and proprietary research and technology of the

Investment, Agricultural Services, and Finance teams to prepare management reports for internal

and external distribution.

  • Draft presentations and memorandums for investors, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Draft, maintain and update fund-specific marketing and due diligence materials and exhibits,

including pitch books, teasers, DDQs, and investor specific diligence materials (track records, case

studies, etc).

  • Provide draft responses to incoming inquiries related to the Fund’s portfolio activity and processes.
  • Fund performance and asset-level monitoring / benchmarking
  • Competitive analysis tracking and differentiation
  • Strategy and Annual Investor Meeting logistics, content, and engagement.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE CHARACTERISTICS

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience within financial services firm (private alternative assets a plus) • Analytical, quantitative, and communication skills

• Comfort with financial concepts

• Strong alignment with As You Sow guiding principles

• Team player with ability to work in fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

• Creative self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative

• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast paced environment

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint); Visual and design and creative

interest a plus.

• Undergraduate degree with excellent academic background
