Job Description
The Bilingual Insurance Verification Call Center Representative is responsible for handling both inbound and outbound calls to verify patients insurance coverage and benefits. This role involves interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to obtain and confirm necessary information, with a focus on providing support in multiple languages.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify Insurance Coverage: Confirm patients insurance coverage and benefits eligibility.
- Patient Interaction: Communicate with patients to inform them of their insurance benefits and resolve any related inquiries in both English and another specified language.
- Documentation: Update and maintain accurate patient records with insurance information.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in English and Spanish
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and insurance companies.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate verification and documentation of insurance information.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle and resolve issues related to insurance verification and billing.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with insurance company websites and online tools for verifying coverage.
- Customer Service: A positive and helpful attitude when dealing with patients and resolving their concerns.
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service role.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.
This role is essential in the healthcare industry to ensure that patients receive the coverage they are entitled to and that all insurance information is accurately recorded, with the added benefit of supporting a diverse patient population.
