Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the application development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software applications that meet business requirements and align with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, product managers, and IT teams, to define application development strategies, roadmaps, and priorities.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions by establishing and enforcing best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage the application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, performance metrics, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to application development projects, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the application development team.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resource plans, and timelines for application development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Extensive experience with application development frameworks, programming languages, and technologies (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, SQL, cloud platforms).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering business value and achieving project objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
