Position Description:

The successful candidate for the Geospatial (GIS) Business Analyst position requires an in-depth knowledge of industry leading Geospatial tools including the Esri desktop tool set. This position will also have some exposure and involvement in development and requirements gathering and analysis.


Responsibilities:

The successful candidate for the Geospatial Business Analyst position will provide a broad range of Geospatial Support functions such as:

  • Respond to various requirements for geospatial products and services
  • Create geospatial analytics and products focused on critical infrastructure and resiliency
  • Create maps or visualization output focused on critical infrastructure and cyber information for hazards, such as natural disasters, terrorist threats and attacks, chemical spills, radiological events, Special Security Events (SSE), bombing prevention, security analysis and reporting, and other cyber and infrastructure projects and programs.
  • Provide geospatial support to troubleshoot issues with ArcGIS software
  • Provide geospatial support to clean, format, and analyze issues with geospatial data
  • Provide development support
  • Provide requirements gathering and analyst support

Requirements:

  • Must have active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography/GIS or computer science related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of GIS experience
  • Development of Geospatial Products using Esri desktop and web-based tools
  • Strong cartographic skills and visual interpretation of data
  • Familiar with relational database fundamentals and concepts performing data collection, processing, analysis, modeling and exploitation.
  • Ability to interpret and explain geospatial products to FBI leadership
  • Understanding of visualization tools such as Esri-based web interfaces (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online)
  • Understanding of Esri Geodatabases and OGC service standards for geospatial data
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
  • On-site only; NO remote
