TMS Solutions Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The TMS Solutions Specialist works in the Service Delivery Tower as part of a multi-disciplinary consulting and analytical practice using a wide variety of IT automation technologies and solutions to grow ESG s diverse product offerings. The principal objective for TMS Solutions personnel is to ensure viable data partnerships are created, maintained, and result in effective transfer of data to and from internal application systems. Responsibilities include management of client specifications and validations, certification and integration testing, new transactional functionality, monitoring for and implementing market changes, authoring business logic for clients and trading partners, and managing change rollouts. This position also provides secondary production support, while interfacing daily with counterparts across the organization, client base and all trading partners.

A TMS Solutions Specialist focuses on certification testing with trading partners, implementation testing with clients, authoring simple business logic, participating in various conference calls, and providing assistance to the Production Team. A Solutions Specialist will work to learn all TMS tools and processes. Solutions Specialist may be assigned clients and markets to manage, with support of team members or management. Proficiency of these steps leads to the Solutions Consultant role.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

Analyzes, evaluate and define client needs

Create and execute implementation test plans

Create data dictionaries, data mapping guidelines and other pertinent documentation

Manage client and trading partner requirements as well as offer solutions

Interpretation of market specific Implementation Guidelines and format specifications (EDI, XML, etc)

Monitor market conditions

Perform unit testing translation solutions

Support the daily transaction environment and resolve issues related to transmission and customer and carrier data flow integrity, audits and controls

Communicate with internal resources within Mapping, Production, Security, QA and Development/IT

Manage testing with trading partners in support of established testing plans

Identify cross-market business rule and data validations as well file specification consistency

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

Ability to work on multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and creatively solve problems

Ability to work with both business and technical personnel

Attention to detail and solid organizational skills a must

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products

Two plus years of experience providing project implementation support

Working knowledge of a variety of file formats, EDI X12 standards a plus

Education:

Bachelor s degree or related work experience
