Job Description
Anika Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Collibra Developer & Platform Administrator. This role will focus on administering and optimizing Collibra Data Catalog platforms for in-house and customer requirements. The candidate should be skilled in front-end development and metadata management and possess hands-on experience with Collibra platform administration. This is a critical role that combines technical proficiency with the ability to drive data governance initiatives and collaborate across teams. This opportunity is 100% remote.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collibra Platform Architecture and Design:
    • Implement and support architecture and design recommendations for Collibra operating model changes, aligning with business needs.
    • Design operating model modifications to enable the creation and management of data catalogs, including descriptive metadata and data traceability diagrams.
  • Platform Administration and Support:
    • Act as the platform administrator for Collibra, overseeing roles, responsibilities, and permissions across multiple environments.
    • Provide ongoing support for custom Collibra workflows, ensuring seamless data and metadata ingestion processes.
    • Integrate Collibra with other enterprise systems using APIs to facilitate seamless data flow and improve process automation.
  • Custom Dashboard Development:
    • Design, code, and maintain custom Collibra dashboards using HTML and CSS, tailored for various user personas to increase platform usability and user engagement.
  • Metadata Management and Traceability:
    • Build and maintain detailed traceability diagrams in the Collibra platform to track data flow across systems.
    • Enhance metadata management processes to improve data governance and compliance.
  • Collaboration and Customer Support:
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align Collibra platform enhancements with the organization's metadata management goals.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data governance, and engineering, to gather feedback, enhance platform performance, and drive user adoption.
    • Provide technical support and training to users on the Collibra platform and related tools.
  • Process Improvement and Automation:
    • Develop and implement semi-automated metadata loading templates, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency in metadata processing.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, continuously learning about Collibra updates, big data platforms, automation tools, and cloud services.
Requirements:
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in Collibra platform administration, metadata management, and data governance.
    • Experience supporting large-scale data governance projects in complex organizations, preferably within the federal sector.
    • Hands-on experience in Collibra Data Catalog platform administration and customization.
    • Strong understanding of metadata management principles and data governance frameworks.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
    • Ability to provide technical training and support to end-users.
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Collibra Ranger, Solution Architect, Workflow Engineer, and Data Steward.
    • AWS and Databricks certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field.
