Job Title: DevOps/SRE Engineer - Cloud Operations
Location: Remote
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in cloud operations to support our enterprise applications deployed in cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying applications into Kubernetes clusters, monitoring production systems, and managing incidents to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems. This role involves collaborating with engineering and product management teams to deliver scalable, reliable applications while ensuring cloud infrastructure efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deploy cloud-based enterprise applications into Kubernetes (K8S) clusters on GCP, AWS, and BTP.
- Monitor production systems, create alert notifications for production issues, and manage critical incident escalations.
- Assist engineers with debugging production issues using Splunk and application logs.
- Perform root cause analysis and apply fixes for critical production incidents.
- Develop and maintain DevOps knowledge base documentation.
- Create monitoring dashboards in Splunk and Dynatrace for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) operations.
- Design and deploy robust infrastructure solutions to support SAP products and services.
- Automate the deployment of cloud resources to optimize processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other service teams to deliver scalable applications that meet customer demands.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in Linux administration, debugging techniques, and shell scripting (bash or Python).
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, BTP preferred).
- Expertise in log analysis tools such as Splunk or ELK.
- Familiarity with Dynatrace, Akamai, Istio, and Apache.
- Solid understanding of SRE operations and on-call procedures.
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8S) and helm charts for application deployment.
- Proven experience in building Jenkins pipelines for CI/CD.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps/SRE.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public cloud environments.
Plus:
- SAP BTP experience.
- Direct FedRAMP experience.
- Knowledge of cloud data security practices.
- Java development experience.
- Experience with test automation.
- Leadership experience in DevOps or SRE.
- Familiarity with Ariba Network or Ariba Procurement products.
- Customer escalation management experience.
