We are currently seeking a talented Programmer/Analyst with strong business analysis skills and exceptional T-SQL expertise to join our dynamic team!

This position can be located in Carson City or Las Vegas.

After an initial training period, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.

Job Summary:

As a Programmer/Analyst at Supreme Court of Nevada, you will play a crucial role in analyzing business requirements, designing and developing robust solutions, and optimizing database performance. You will leverage your advanced T-SQL skills to create complex queries and stored procedures, while also collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address business needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, understand business processes, and identify opportunities for improvement. Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable plans.
  • Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain database objects such as tables and complex queries using T-SQL. Optimize query and application performance and ensure data integrity.
  • Solution Design: Create detailed technical designs and implement solutions that align with business requirements and architectural standards. Develop and execute test plans to validate solutions.
  • Technical Support: Provide support for production databases and applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner. Monitor and enhance system performance.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database structures, processes, and system configurations. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including end users, developers, data analysts, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery and integration. Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience and/or equivalent education and experience in a programming/analyst role with a strong focus on T-SQL, business analysis and database development.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in T-SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
    • Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Familiarity with data modeling, database design, and performance tuning.
    • Interface design and development experience.
  • Prior experience with Outsystems is a plus.
  • Business Analysis Skills:
    • Strong ability to analyze and understand business processes and requirements.
    • Experience in creating business requirements documents, use cases, and functional specifications.
    • Experience in government, and particularly the courts is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Effectively works remotely and collaborates with employees from a remote location, as needed. Must have expertise in virtual meeting platforms, such as Teams. Must have the ability to work remotely via an internet network connection provided by the employee. This connection speed must be sufficient to perform all duties. A minimum of 50-100 mb download speeds are required. Higher connection speed may be required if sharing this connection with other members in an employee s household.
