Claims Specialist

Black Diamond Funding Ventures LLC (BDFV) d/b/a Black Diamonds Claims Solutions is a leading provider of financial solutions for restoration companies and contractors. We specialize in purchasing invoices from vendors who have completed work and are awaiting payment from insurance companies. Our mission is to support businesses in maintaining cash flow while navigating the complexities of insurance claim payments.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing claims related to invoice purchasing and managing the collection of payments from insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of homeowners insurance policies, the claims process, and possess the confidence to effectively communicate with insurance companies over the phone.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and analyze insurance claims submitted for invoice purchasing.
- Evaluate claim documentation to ensure compliance with insurance policy terms and conditions.
- Manage the collection of payments from insurance companies, following up on unpaid invoices.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, public adjusters, and contractors to gather necessary information and resolve issues.
- Maintain detailed records of claims, payments, and communications in the company s database.
- Stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, and best practices in claims handling.

Qualifications:

- Licensed Public Adjuster or Insurance Adjuster preferred, but not required.

-Commercial Claims Adjusting experience preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of homeowners insurance policies and the claims process.
- Experience in invoice purchasing or insurance collections is highly desirable.
- Confident and effective communicator, especially over the phone.
- Knowledge of Xactimate or other estimating software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
