Job Purpose

The Test Lead is responsible for managing the day-to-day testing and evaluation activities, including defining, coordinating test strategies, planning, execution, and reporting. This role is critical to ensure comprehensive coverage of system requirements and successful test cycle completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

The job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and strategies to align with project requirements.
  • Manage daily test activities, ensuring milestones are met and comprehensive testing is conducted.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and provide regular progress reports.
  • Apply DevSecOps methodologies to streamline testing and ensure security compliance.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigations to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Establishing quality standards and providing feedback.
  • Training, mentoring, and scheduling the testing team, and monitoring their work.
  • Outlining the test strategy, which includes the testing scope, objectives, methods, and approaches.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current quality assurance principles, testing tools, processes, quality control methodologies and other technology advances
  • Design, create and execute functional and non-functional test cases
  • Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.
  • Focus on the quality delivery for product releases
  • Maintain a suite of existing web applications and services by implementing new features and fixing critical bugs

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree or higher in IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and evaluation processes, including familiarity with DevSecOps

Training and Certification Requirements:

  • Relevant DoD-approved cybersecurity training and certifications as per DoDD 8140.01.

Travel Requirements:

Even though this position is primarily remote, there is an expectation to travel in and around the JBLM and surrounding areas as needed.
