Role Overview:

As we rapidly scale our features and capabilities, we are looking for talented and driven software engineers to join our Spacetime team. Spacetime, is a cutting-edge software-defined networking platform that orchestrates radio resource management, schedule of pointing and handovers, and networking functions for aerospace & defense communication networks. We are at a pivotal stage in our growth, and we need engineers who are passionate about ensuring stability, performance, and robust monitoring within our infrastructure. You will be responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams and keeping abreast of our rapidly evolving systems while contributing to our infrastructure's overall resilience and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stability & Performance: Drive the optimization of our systems to ensure high reliability and performance as we scale. Address performance bottlenecks and implement solutions that maintain system stability.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Deploy comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively manage system health and detect issues before they impact users.
• Fast-Paced Development: Adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality features and enhancements in line with our aggressive growth trajectory.
• Incident Response: Lead troubleshooting efforts during incidents, perform thorough root cause analysis, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Technical Mentorship: Advocate for best practices in coding, architecture, and system design. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure that our infrastructure supports our feature development and scaling needs effectively.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on system stability, performance optimization, and infrastructure management.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in C++ or Go preferred, as well as familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS. Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or related tools.
• Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Comfortable with evolving requirements.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of effectively diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
