Job Description:

Cybersecurity
Location: Hybrid ONSITE 3 days a week at Bloomfield, CT location (ONLY). Monday-Friday, 40 hours. Core hours 8 am-5 pm EST.

Duties:
Our client is looking for a Cybersecurity professional to perform application and infrastructure security assessments to support confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The individual will also assist IT and business partners in resolving security issues identified through our security evaluation questionnaire and secure scanning reports.

This is an exciting time to join our security team as we continuously develop our program to meet the needs of an Agile IT workforce, further build our security posture, and improve customer experience. This position requires strong technical skills, the ability to work well in a team, and the capability to multitask and work on assignments independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enable automated application security testing in the development process.
  • Partner with the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities aligned with security architecture, business, technology, and threat drivers.
  • Perform risk assessments of existing or new services and technologies, identify design gaps and risks, and recommend security enhancements.
  • Communicate risk assessment findings to information security customers or business partners.
  • Serve as an information security expert and trusted advisor to IT and business partners, enabling them to make informed risk management decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve risk posture, develop solutions for remediating or mitigating risks, and assess residual risk.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with individuals and groups involved in managing information risks across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date on current and emerging security threats and design security architectures to mitigate them.


Required Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, ability to document risks and possible solutions, and clearly articulate these to the business in layman s terms if necessary. Ability to speak about security in group meetings as needed.
  • 5-10 years of experience with information security management frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, COBIT, NIST 800) and some regulatory compliance background is a plus.
