Position Title: Application Project Manager
Location: PST Time Zone (Remote)
Duration: Long Term Contract

Position Overview:
Client is seeking an experienced Application Project Manager to oversee application development and deployment projects within their IT portfolio. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategies. The role requires coordination with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget. This position operates in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for application projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Monitor and track project progress, resolving issues, and escalating risks when necessary.
  • Ensure projects comply with Client technology standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project communications, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to assess success metrics, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of project management experience, preferably in application development, deployment, or IT infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Experience managing multiple application projects, including software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in the PST time zone and effectively manage remote teams.
  • Experience working in the energy/utility sector is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the utility industry.
  • Experience with cloud application projects or digital transformation initiatives.

Work Conditions:

  • Remote work with adherence to the PST time zone.
