SCCM Administrator/End Point Administrator

The Senior Endpoint Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining configurations for operating systems and applications across all company-owned devices using modern enterprise solutions. This role collaborates with internal and external IT teams to deliver innovative solutions for OS and software deployments, troubleshoot existing systems, and ensure security compliance. Additionally, the Administrator leads patch management for endpoint devices, balancing security and performance.

This is a 6 months contract to hire role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Endpoint Configuration Management: Design, implement, and maintain configurations for operating systems and applications using tools such as SCCM, Intune, Jamf, JumpCloud, and Group Policy.
• Patch Management: Oversee and execute the patch management process to ensure all endpoint devices are updated with the latest security patches and software updates.
• Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with security policies, including managing antivirus and endpoint protection solutions for all devices.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for endpoint-related issues, working closely with IT teams and assisting in training support staff when necessary.
• Deployment and Imaging: Manage the deployment and imaging of operating systems and applications on company devices, ensuring smooth and efficient rollouts.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance and health of endpoint devices, generate reports, and provide analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Policy Development: Develop and enforce endpoint management policies that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Training and Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for endpoint management processes, providing training for IT staff and end-users as required.
• Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and implement new endpoint management tools and technologies that meet organizational requirements.
• Project Management: Lead and participate in endpoint management projects, including software implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Compliance and Auditing: Conduct regular audits to ensure devices adhere to internal policies and external regulations, resolving any issues promptly.
• Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve endpoint management processes, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 3-5 years of experience in SCCM, system vulnerability patching, management, and deployment.
• Experience managing SCCM with multiple distribution points.
• Experience using Jamf or JumpCloud.
• Experience implementing solutions in an enterprise-grade network environment.
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems including Windows 10/11, Mac OS, and Linux.
• Proficient in server system installation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft platforms and solutions (Active Directory, Azure).
• Networking proficiency including LAN, WAN, and wireless configuration.

Desired:

• Working knowledge of IT service, change, and problem management frameworks (ITIL Foundation).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with web services and programming languages like JSON, PowerShell, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with API protocols.
