Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups.

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Professional to join our dynamic team. The Clinical Informatics Professional will play a vital role in bridging the gap between clinical workflows and technology solutions, ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of healthcare information systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, combined with expertise in informatics and a passion for improving patient care through technology.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work closely with program managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to analyze workflows and identify opportunities for optimization and automation using health information technology.
  • Design, develop, and implement clinical information systems, including electronic health records (EHR), clinical decision support systems (CDSS), and other clinical applications.
  • Customize and configure healthcare IT systems to meet the specific needs and requirements of clinical departments and specialties.
  • Provide training and support to clinical staff on the use of health information systems, ensuring proper utilization and adherence to best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical end-users and IT teams, translating clinical needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of clinical informatics solutions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in clinical informatics, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and meaningful use of health IT.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party suppliers to assess, select, and implement new clinical informatics solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and HITECH, as well as industry standards for health information exchange and interoperability.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Medicine, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the healthcare field, with a focus on data analytics and processing. (preferred)
  • Two (2) years of data analyst or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software or equivalent related education. (preferred)
  • Clinical background with experience working in healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or physician practices.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and processes, with the ability to analyze and optimize complex systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems and standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
  • Proficiency in health informatics tools and technologies, including EHR systems, clinical decision support, and health information exchange platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Certification in clinical informatics (e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS) preferred.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of clinical informatics

Leadership and Collaboration: Providing leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering collaboration and excellence. Working closely with program managers and stakeholders to understand and maintain focus on analytics needs, promoting teamwork and alignment with organizational goals.

Communication and Stakeholder Management: Generating reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Soliciting and addressing user feedback to drive continuous improvement and enhance user experience. These soft skills involve effective communication, active listening, and building positive relationships with stakeholders.
