Working under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, this position supports the department's efforts to communicate, educate, inspire and engage effectively, while maintaining and promoting the San Diego Regional Center's mission and brand. This position is responsible for creating the monthly newsletter, event flyers, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, email marketing campaigns, and advertising materials using graphic design, as well as proofreading and managing print coordination and product inventory. Coordinates events, manages event registration and sponsorships, prepares resource materials and giveaways, maintains event records, provides regular updates on event details, collaborates with other teams, and assists with event set-up and registration. Manages the staff tribute program, and mission moment awards.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's, Associate, or Graphic Design Certification, and two (2) to three (3) years' design and event coordination experience. Experience working with non-profits is a plus.

Must be creative, with the ability to think outside the box, and detail oriented. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional project management and organizational skills to prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow-up on assignments. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and the desire for continual learning and evolving with current digital and print marketing trends is required. Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office, MailChimp, Survey Monkey, Canva, and Visme. Professional, with excellent interpersonal skills, culturally diverse awareness and sensitivity, strong work ethic and customer service focus.
