Your Role

The AVP manages the Strategy and Planning process for Victoria’s Secret & Co.’s Marketing. They are a leader who contributes to the brand strategy, builds solid relationships with partners across all levels and functions, and who is able to manage, lead and develop their internal teams while also playing an active “hands-on” role in the deployment of strategic campaign plans. This role will also be fiscally accountable to VS ensuring proper budget management and identifying upside revenue potential for the company through the exploration of new media partnerships.

This leader will bring an innate curiosity to explore what is possible in the media space, and teach teams how to build on success with robust learning agendas and test & learn methods. They will have deep knowledge of media partners not just in digital but in all media channels traditional and modern and have a proven track record of driving brand awareness and consideration through full funnel marketing strategies. They will be a savvy communicator both written and verbal. Ability to inspire business partners to buy in on a big strategy through a combination of story-telling and data-driven insights. This leader will hire and train a world-class in-house team of media experts in partnership with the VP, Media and the AVP, Media Channels & Activation.

Your Impact

  • Proven track record of envisioning, building, and lead the execution of full-funnel media strategy that drive results
  • Clearly define and lead the implementation of media strategy and campaign planning in partnership with creative and cross-functional teams
  • Actively seeks new ideas for how we can bring our brand to life in the places our customers loves and uses daily
  • Able to think beyond “media” as an active collaborator in the Integrated Marketing Communications process
  • Expert knowledge of media inclusive of all funnel stages. Will help define budget needs for upper, mid and lower funnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; solid presentation skills, strong leadership presence
  • Digital mindset, extensive experience in digital/performance media space, and able to partner with creative to leverage best practices
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills, ability to prioritize and organize issues/projects for self and staff
  • Leads thinking to inspire innovative solutions, creativity, and a proactive approach
  • Flexibility and agility to manage complex processes and brainstorm solutions. Willingness to try something and see how it goes.

  • Ensure the team delivers sound strategic plan recommendations based on clear understanding of brand’s objectives
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of businesses with a focus on upstream initiatives

Minimum Salary: $173,000.00

Maximum Salary: $240,975.00

VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications preferred. MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in media planning, buying and management with progressive levels of responsibility and 8 years of managerial experience
  • Ability to work with an omni-channel lens; DTC digital experience a required
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a track record of success in the media services profession
  • Strategic thinker, seeing the bigger picture, with ability to analyze everything and think critically when solving problems to come up with unconventional solutions
  • Team player with the ability to navigate an organization, influence partners, build consensus and work across various functional departments
  • Previous experience in leadership and team management including managing managers
  • Ability to build great relationships with agency, vendors, and reps
  • History of negotiating to get the job done right and track record of success in media
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
  • Highly organized, flexible and have a proven multi-tasking ability
