The Role

As the Chief of Marketing & Business Development you need to be able to understand the product and client requirements to develop and enhance the company’s business strategy. In this role you will be expected to lead partnering efforts and develop a clear impact and success plan to increase and measure customer engagement and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Implement an Impact and Success Plan:

  • Conducting market research to align the company strategy with customer priorities and needs.
  • Providing a roadmap with clearly defined success metrics and milestones for scaling the company’s customer base and revenues.
  • Developing and leading a partnership action plan for generating new leads.

Project Management:

  • Understanding the high-level company vision and goals, and ensuring these are reflected in ongoing project management and client communications.
  • Ensuring clear communication and alignment between the leadership and the biomedical, commercial, and technical teams.

Market Access:

  • Facilitating global market access strategies to ensure our solutions reach the right stakeholders in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries
  • Ensuring the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns are effective at boosting the customer base and product sales.

Impact Measurement:

  • Tracking of established metrics to help scale customer engagement and enhance revenue generation.
  • Implementing systems for measuring the impact of commercial and marketing activities.
  • Ensuring measurable outcomes with respect to a quarterly increase in the ratio of revenues over marketing spends.

Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Achieved measurable and referenceable success in terms of revenue recognition and growth at start-ups and early-stage businesses in healthcare and life sciences.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Personal Traits:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
  • A strong intuition for enabling teams to work together efficiently.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to engage all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Health Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development and partnering, success planning, impact measurement and project management, preferably within the healthcare or healthtech industry.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including market access, regulatory considerations, and commercial strategy.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with AI technologies applied in healthcare and life sciences.
  • Experience with CRMs (HubSpot is preferred)
