PRISM seeks a Hyper-V Systems Administrator with an Active DoD Secret Clearance who will maintain, support, and optimize the organization's mission-critical Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure. This role ensures the virtual environment's security, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Administration:
    • Configure, set up, and install new Hyper-V systems, including servers, virtual hosts, and virtual machines.
    • Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.
    • Resolve security issues and implement security best practices.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide Tier 3 technical and non-technical support to clients and vendors.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems.
    • Manage client and vendor relationships.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor the health and performance of physical and virtual servers.
    • Generate reports on system performance and resource utilization.
  • Security:
    • Implement and enforce security policies and best practices for virtualized environments.
    • Conduct security audits and assessments.
    • Manage access controls, permissions, and roles.
  • Documentation:
    • Prepare technical documentation and configuration change requests.
    • Document workloads in the Remedy ticketing system.

Required:

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • 8570 Compliant IAT Level II (CompTIA Security + CE or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3+ years in managing and administering Hyper-V environments, including hosts, clusters, and virtual machines.
  • Strong understanding of storage and networking concepts related to virtualization.
  • Practical experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, file and print servers, and Windows Server Administration (2012/2012R2/2016/2019/2022).
  • Versatility and flexibility to assist other Tier 3 teams.
  • Experience with server hardware installation and upgrades.
  • Experience with file and system maintenance procedures.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and produce results.
