Role: Electrical Engineer

Location: St. Paul Minnesota | Onsite

Duration: 6 months C2H

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Design, implement, verify, validate, debug, and support solar power electronics systems, automation and control systems, embedded hardware, and software systems.
  • Perform electrical drafting and maintain electrical schematics for system designs.
  • Select and implement power-related components and assemblies.
  • Design, manufacture, bring-up, test, and validate printed circuit boards.
  • Collaborate with the systems engineering team to develop software and electronics for electrical and thermal power systems.
  • Work alongside expert-level electrical and software engineers using cutting-edge industrial power and communication technology.
  • Contribute to a wide range of client projects across different stages of product development.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by managing multiple projects across various disciplines and deadlines. Candidates who are self-starters with the ability to multi-task and handle diverse responsibilities will succeed.

You should consistently improve your role, educate others, and be capable of solving complex electrical engineering and power system challenges.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to read and create electrical drawings.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical Drafting or equivalent (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer for Schematic/PCB (preferred).
  • Experience with SolidWorks Electrical (preferred).
  • Knowledge of UL/NEC 508A standards (preferred).
  • Experience with automation controls (preferred).
  • Experience with single/multiphase high power and high voltage systems design (preferred).
  • Ability to select hardware components to meet diverse specifications.
  • Knowledge of power systems and industrial control systems.
  • Experience building electrical hardware systems for prototyping applications.
  • Familiarity with design version control tools such as Git and PDM systems.
  • Experience in small businesses or startups is a plus.
