Scrum Master II
The Scrum Master is a servant leader for the team adopting a holistic approach to work and promotes a sense of community. The Scrum Master coaches the team on agile principles and practices. The Scrum Master is an advocate for the team and assists the team with continuous improvement to achieve greater effectiveness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Scrum Master is accountable for the Scrum Team's effectiveness.

Position Responsibilities:
Scrum Team Support

• Guides the Scrum Team's focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done.
• Removes impediments to the Scrum Team's progress.
• Ensures that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
• Shields the team from external influences.
• Guides the team on how to use agile values, agile principles, and agile framework practices to delight customers and contribute towards building a culture of trust, respect, simplicity, courage, transparency, and agility.
• Helps find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
• Helps the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
• Helps establish empirical product planning for a complex environment.
• Assesses the agile health of the team and coach them to higher levels of fluency at a sustainable pace for the team and department.
• Embodies agile behaviors and practices while exhibiting an innovative attitude and an aptitude to embrace change and improve the practices and processes of the team daily.
• Oversees the scrum process, coaches the team; facilitates transparent and adaptive culture.

Communication/Collaboration

• Facilitates discussion, decision making, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment.
• Build effective partnership with the Product Owner and provide mentoring and support especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog and release planning, aligning delivery expectations with all stakeholders.
• Coordinates with Project Management.
• Participate in the Scrum of Scrums.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of progressive relevant experience
• 5 years of relevant experience
• 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master
• 3 years of experience in delivering products or projects in a leadership or project team role
• 2 year of experience with Agile tools
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Must have indefinite employment authorization.

Preferred:

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Work Best Category:
Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days

Hours:
8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
