Fleet Truck Technician/Welder - Job Description

Requirements:

• Background Check: No violent or sexual felonies.
• Drug Test: 10-panel drug screening required.
• Dress Code: Steel toe boots or shoes, jeans, and t-shirt.
• Tools: Must have own tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install minor modifications such as backup cameras, auxiliary power units, electronic log kits, decals, running fuel lines, electrical wiring harnesses, etc.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections.
• Work with kits and bolt-on modifications.
• Perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and standing for most of the day.
• Lift and install components up to 45 pounds.
• Drill frames and install components.
• Execute wiring techniques.
• Install telematics systems.
• Perform PDI operations or drive prep.
• Install new fuel lines, fuel tanks, and other components.
• Work on Class 7 & 8 trucks, including bolt-on modification kits, some fabrication, and mechanical work.
• Apply decals.

Qualifications:

• Experience as an automobile or truck mechanic (shade tree mechanic experience acceptable).
• Ability to work 40-hour weeks plus overtime if required.
• Possess tools, including an impact wrench and drill, or be able to acquire tools within 90 days of employment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Post-offer background check, drug screening, and physical evaluation are required.
• Mechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to obtain tools as soon as possible if not already owned.

Shift Information:

• 1st Shift: $17/hour, 6 am-3 pm (overtime 6 am-5 pm)
• 2nd Shift: $18/hour, 2 pm-11 pm (overtime 12 pm-11 pm)
