Entry-Level Human Resources Associate (2nd Shift)
Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 PM with some flexibility
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Human Resources Associate to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role will focus on employee relations and be responsible for supporting HR functions that ensure a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping employees resolve issues, fostering open communication, and maintaining a collaborative workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations Support: Serve as the initial point of contact for employee concerns and questions, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to workplace issues.
- Conflict Resolution: Assist with conflict resolution and mediation between employees and supervisors, escalating complex issues to senior HR personnel when necessary.
- Policy Communication: Ensure that employees understand HR policies and procedures, providing clarification and answering any questions they may have.
- Employee Engagement: Collaborate on initiatives aimed at improving employee morale and engagement, including surveys and team-building activities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of employee interactions and prepare reports on employee relations activities.
- Investigations: Assist in conducting investigations related to employee complaints, ensuring confidentiality and fairness throughout the process.
- HR Administration: Help with general HR administrative tasks, including new hire orientations, training sessions, and data entry into HRIS systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all actions are in compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws and regulations, including health and safety protocols.
- Shift Coverage: Work closely with 2nd shift supervisors and employees to identify HR issues unique to this shift, acting as a liaison between employees and management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in human resources or a related field
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information and maintain professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of HR principles and employment law.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
