  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Position Requirements:

This is a 100% remote position, but candidates located near the following areas:

  • Illinois: Chicago, Joliet
  • Maryland: Baltimore, Owings Mills

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems and servers. You'll play a critical role in managing IT infrastructure and supporting the organization's technology needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure hardware and software to ensure system security and efficiency
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Create user accounts and manage access control
  • Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with network engineers to maintain seamless IT operations
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users
  • Document system configurations and changes
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data
  • Conduct periodic system audits and ensure compliance with security policies

Required Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in Linux system administration, including:
  • Red Hat Linux
  • Oracle Linux
  • Storage administration (Linux LVM, Veritas)
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming for system administration using Bourne Shell, Perl, Python, or Java
  • Experience with Ansible, especially for configuration management

Required Behavioral Skills:

  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
  • Ability to work extended hours or modified schedules during planned or emergency work
  • Self-motivated, able to drive initiatives to completion with minimal oversight
  • Strong leadership in technical discussions and troubleshooting to resolution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with OS clustering, such as:
  • Veritas Infoscale
  • Oracle Clusterware
  • Red Hat PCS
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata
