  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We're looking for an IT Data Specialist experienced with creating SQL queries and Tableau dashboards, open to working hybrid in Houston!

Experience Required: 3-5 Years

We are seeking a Technical IT Data Specialist to join our growing team. This is a junior to mid-level role, requiring a balance of technical skills, enterprise experience, and strong collaboration abilities. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL, Tableau, and working with enterprise-level data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and debug SQL queries for a variety of data tasks.
  • Build visual dashboards in Tableau based on data queries and customer requests.
  • Collaborate with business teams to design and enhance reports, as well as develop new ones.
  • Work both on long-term, project-based tasks (well-defined scopes) and ad hoc report requests.
  • Translate business needs into clear data solutions, creating visual reports using Tableau or SSRS.
  • Manage tasks related to data warehouses, visualizations, and report generation.
  • Participate in cross-team collaboration to improve existing data processes and workflows.
  • Initially receive training, but expected to quickly become independent in daily tasks.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Strong SQL skills: Ability to write and debug SQL queries.
  • Tableau expertise: Experience in building and maintaining Tableau dashboards.
  • Enterprise-level experience is essential for understanding complex business processes and working across teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: Must work effectively as a team player and independently.

Preferred Skills (Plusses):

  • Experience in ETL within the Microsoft environment.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare sector (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus, especially for creating interfaces with different systems when needed.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Writing SQL queries and creating data visualizations in Tableau.
  • Supporting business team needs, enhancing existing reports, and creating new reports.
  • Handling ad hoc report requests, writing new queries, and debugging as needed.
  • Engaging in project-based work with well-defined business goals and also dealing with unstructured tasks.
  • Visual report creation for business teams, leveraging tools like Tableau and SSRS.

Please note that you must be eligible to work on W2 without sponsorship or visa transfer.
