Legislative Affairs Associate plays a critical role in supporting the development of policy positions, conducting analysis of legislative proposals, and assisting in advocacy efforts to advance the organization's interests. This is a full-time, exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package and an annual salary of $52,000.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • You are passionate about policy and love strategy.
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in policy analysis, legislative affairs, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate findings effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel, Google Drive applications, legislative tracking software, and Internet research tools.
  • Familiar with the legislative process and government institutions and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise policy documents, briefing materials, and presentations.
  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and to handle complex and competing administrative priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
