The Page Six digital team is looking for a full-time Lifestyle Editor to lead our celebrity lifestyle vertical. The candidate must be an independent and highly motivated self-starter with a passion for all things lifestyle, including real estate, wellness and hospitality, from a celebrity lens. The candidate will be expected to pitch, conceptualize, write and edit daily news-driven lifestyle stories as well as longer-form evergreen features across all lifestyle sections. The Lifestyle Editor will also be expected to frequently appear on camera in our Page Six studio and on field shoots.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Page Six’s rapidly expanding celebrity lifestyle vertical
  • Conceptualize, write and edit daily celebrity lifestyle stories with a focus on travel, real estate, wellness and hospitality
  • Oversee the Lifestyle Reporter and guide them to create engaging, service-driven lifestyle content by delegating responsibilities and assigning stories based on what’s trending
  • Act as a face of Page Six’s lifestyle franchise and frequently appear in videos created in our studio and for social media
  • Use data, analytics and expertise to brainstorm and guide content decisions
  • Be a self-starter with a genuine passion for all things entertainment, particularly when it comes to lifestyle topics
  • Collaborate with other departments including commerce, video, photo, social and SEO to conceptualize and produce high-impact content

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an editor in an online news environment, ideally with a focus on celebrity lifestyle content
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a proven ability to write succinct, eye-catching headlines
  • A passion for celebrity lifestyle topics with a commitment to providing accurate and valuable information to readers
  • Comfort and desire to appear on camera and translate editorial content into engaging videos
  • Solid relationships with publicists and sources to pull back the curtain on how celebrities live their lives, including where they eat, where they vacation and more
  • Expertise in digital strategy, analytics and SEO best practices and tools
  • Proficiency in content management systems (WordPress, in particular), photo editing software & web analytics tools

Note: The NY Post adheres to a hybrid work schedule.

The hours for this role are Mondays through Fridays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
