This remote At-Risk Instructional Coach is funded by State Compensatory Education funds. Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration the Instructional Coach delivers academic intervention beyond the General Education classroom interventions to At-Risk students in both Synchronous and Asynchronous environments to reduce the disparity in academic performance on State assessment instruments to reduce the disparity in the rates of student failures and high school completion between students at risk of dropping out of school and all other students. The Instructional Coach will build capacity at every level of the campus related to effective inclusive practices in academics for At-Risk populations to ensure teachers have the necessary tools required to serve and support At-Risk students. In addition, the Instructional Coaches will implement professional development opportunities for each school to support teachers’ needs in alignment with the goals of the organization.

This position offers a base salary of $55,000 plus the eligibility of a performance bonus.

This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time.

Instructional
- Collaborate weekly with teachers to improve the implementation of the state curricular standards through utilization of the research-based instructional strategies identified by the district which are focused on mathematics.
- Under the direction of campus leadership, directly support teachers that provide classroom instruction in literacy by providing core content knowledge development, lesson planning, instructional delivery, classroom environment and data action planning coaching designed to assist them in the implementation of curriculum standards and delivery of instructional strategies in order to increase student learning, progress and achievement.
- Coach teachers on differentiation of instruction to address needs of at-risk or educationally disadvantaged students
- Observe instructional delivery of literacy teachers to monitor implementation of research-based strategies and differentiation of instruction
- Coordinate with Managers to develop a year-long professional development needs analysis and plan;
- Prepare virtual professional development opportunities for each school in collaboration with curriculum specialist and academic administrators; Schedule and coordinate appropriate presenters, conduct training when needed.
- Collaborate with Manager and Team regarding instruction, resources, interventions, and data-driven decision making for student support.
- Provide opportunities for teachers within specific subjects/grade bands the opportunity to connect across content areas as a PLC facilitator.
- Partner with managers to report on teacher performance and progress through sheltered instruction observation protocol and various intervention and instructional strategies and best practices.
- Train and examine curriculum and instructional plans to support curriculum maps and content embedding.
- Assess the effectiveness of school-based training and present the results to stakeholders.
- Manage collaborative space where teachers will share best practices, participate in discussions, and participate in problems of practice.
- Partner with academic administrators on special projects and data collection to support program goals.
- Develop supports for data collection and teacher data collection and analysis training.
- Duties related to testing, such as test administration
- Activities related to teacher evaluations, including TTESS related activities
- Activities undertaken in the role of parent liaison, community liaison, truant officer, safety officer, or court liaison required by TEC, 37.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree AND
- Three (3) years of relevant experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Web-based search engines, and database systems
- Flexible schedule; Ability to travel 30% of the time
- Ability to clear required background check
- Masters Degree in core subject, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or similar
- Experience with distance learning
- Advanced coursework in academic leadership/curriculum design
- Experience as an online teacher
- Experience in a customer service environment.
- Experience with Local, State, and Federals laws and mandated reporting
