Summary/Objective

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.

Essential Functions
  • In buildings, perform work in raceways under floors, above ceilings, in network or communications cabinets, and in wall-mount enclosures.
  • Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Category 6 twisted pair cables, fiber optic cables, and breakout kits for multi-fiber optic cables.
  • Install ancillary hardware for supporting or routing Category 6 and fiber optic cables, e.g., trays, hangers, conduits, raceways, etc.
  • Build out and maintain cable racks to be functional and in good appearance.
  • Perform system tests using scanners, spectrum analyzers, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Prepares link documentation.
  • Prepares documentation of installations, including cable properties, cable paths, and post-installation test results.

Required Education And Experience
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • HS/GED
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in small spaces, and lift 50lbs
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a hands-on, manual labor trade.
  • Experience installing wire/cable runs such as Ethernet cable, fiber, or electrical cable preferred.
