What will your day look like?

  • Develop and substantiate product claims in alignment with scientific evidence and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with R&D to translate technical product features into consumer-friendly claims.
  • Manage claims processes from initiation to validation, ensuring timely and accurate evaluation of claims.
  • Conduct (new and existing) category assessments, and brainstorms to generate alternative wording and claims for both new product development and in-market products.
  • Design, plan, and oversee clinical trials and consumer studies to validate product efficacy and safety.
  • Select and manage relationships with external clinical testing laboratories and CROs (Contract Research Organizations).
  • Analyze clinical data and apply statistical analysis when necessary to ensure robust and credible results that support product claims.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in clinical testing and skincare science.
  • Is sought after for study methodology expertise for both clinical and consumer research.
  • Develop and execute strategies for product demonstrations to be used as commercial assets.
  • Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to ensure effective product demonstration strategies.
  • Train internal teams and external partners on product benefits and demonstration techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of product demos on consumer perception and sales performance.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align on product messaging and positioning.
  • Coordinate with regulatory and legal teams to ensure all claims and demos comply with industry regulations.
  • Support the sales and brand team with technical knowledge and product information for customer/retailer presentations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on clinical testing results, claims substantiation, and demo performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all claims, testing protocols, and demo activities.
  • Present findings to senior management and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table?

  • A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, biochemistry, chemistry, biology, cosmetic science, social science or a related biological discipline, plus 3-5+ years' direct work expereince in a research discipline, clinical testing lab expereince preferred.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires the ability to interact with individuals from a variety of functional backgrounds through effective communication of data & risks and influencing the outcome.
  • Requires the ability to work on multiple projects, to organize and prioritize within and between projects.
  • Requires flexibility, adaptability and ability to quickly assimilate and apply new information.
  • Works independently and as part of a team, has high self-motivation and has a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to plan and conduct scientific clinical testing. Must be able to draw conclusions from the results of clinical or technical studies and apply them to business decisions.
  • Must understand the target consumer and how the target consumer interprets communication.
  • Should have a basic understanding of the current regulatory environment and common practice in the US, Canada, and UK, among other global markets

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus. Must be mobile and transfer from building to building.
