Responsibilities:
Researches and writes documentation for IT systems, including operations, procedures, standards, process guides, configuration management, and program reports for both technical and non-technical personnel. Interprets technical documentation standards and prepares documentation according to those standards. Creates and provides graphic support for technical information intended for both technical and non-technical personnel. Maintains web content of a website, including the collection of current or updated information. Contractor personnel should be able to effectively communicate with other individuals at all levels within organizations and with differing economic, social, cultural or educational backgrounds. They should have skills in oral and written communications and the ability to exercise tact in dealing with others in a courteous and diplomatic manner. Typical assignments include designing, developing, and maintaining information systems that utilize Services Oriented Architecture (SOA). Ensures that project and agency standards are addressed, including various industry standards such as ISO 20000 and/or ISO 9000:2001. Requires knowledge and experience with a variety of operating systems, web browsers, and miscellaneous software tools. Technologies may include, but are not limited to: Visual Studio, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, Telerik UI for ASP, Syncfusion, Hangfire, Business Objects. MSTest, jQuery, Entity Framework, Elmah, Telerik JustMock, Renci SSH.Net, Newtonsoft JSON.NET, Microsoft Azure DevOps. Will create technical documentation, including user documentation, howto guides, integration guides, computer systems operation guides, and product specifications that increase the experience for the digital platform. They work with other technical experts, such as engineers and software developers, to ensure that the information they provide is accurate and easy to understand.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in English, communications or other related discipline. Requires five (5) years of IT technical writing and documentation experience, graphics and presentation support, and/or maintenance of website content. Must have substantial knowledge of the capabilities of computer systems. Demonstrates good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction only.
