Growing manufacturer seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Manager to oversee new product development projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Creation, Planning and Execution: Propose development projects, create and manage project plans, approvals, and raw material coordination for new product development initiatives. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals including engineering, operations, sales and quality assurance. Maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Process Improvement/Continuous Improvement: Analyze project and production workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity in product development.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards, testing, regulatory requirements, safety and quality assurance processes.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and financial performance, making adjustments as necessary to stay within financial constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in project management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in new product development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
