Caron Engineering (CEI) is a small but growing company working in the global CNC machine industry. We develop and produce accessories that allow CNC machines to work smarter and more efficiently for some of the largest and most advanced companies in the world.

Caron Engineering is seeking a full-time Jr. Software Engineer who would be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions targeting various manufacturing industries.

Role and Responsibilities

The responsibility of this role will include, but may not be limited to the following:

Proficiency in C# and C++

Technical skills required for C# / C++ Development:

o Knowledge of the .NET framework

o Familiarity with ASP.NET Web API

o Ability to write reusable code using object-oriented techniques

o Ensure the best possible performance and quality of applications

o Able to identify bugs and construct solutions in a timely manner

Convert ideas and visions into solid technical software designs and solutions.

Follows Scrum development workflow (using JIRA)

Abide by all coding standards set in place at Caron Engineering.

Ability to communicate well with on-site work contacts to support any Q&A and trouble-shooting; strong verbal and written skills with all colleagues.

Keeps manager informed of all important activities and decisions.

Technical documentation for all design, coding and testing.

A pleasant personality is necessary as you spend a lot of time with coworkers; works well with a team.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related field.

Salary

Starting salary of $55,000 to $70,000 dependent on experience and education
