Fleet Manager Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY As a MasTec Fleet Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational efficiency of our Fleet. You will be responsible for managing a diverse range of mobile assets, including vehicles, equipment, telematics, and DOT compliance to ensure seamless communication services and support for our organization. Your primary focus will be on implementing strategic company policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of reliability, and maximizing cost-effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Manage a fleet of vehicles across multiple operating locations. • Monitor vehicle/asset utilization to ensure inventory is active and field vehicle needs are responded to timely. • Contribute towards creating, refining, enhancing, and rolling out of processes and procedures relating to vehicle operational readiness. • Submit requests for vehicle acquisition, transfer, and disposal. • Manage the fuel card program for the respective locations including but not limited to requesting fuel pins, issuing fuel pins, monitoring usage reports for anomalies, escalating anomalies to Sr. Fleet Management team.

• Track and monitor preventive maintenance services and Annual DOT inspections ensuring all vehicles are compliant with requirements for service.

• Take the lead in understanding, communicating, and resolving any vehicle issues related to safety, mechanical issues, preventative maintenance. • Administer the fleet management operations policies including vehicle and equipment procurement, maintenance, repair, and disposal. • Deploy vehicles for emergency and/or special situations.

•Manage employees and mechanics across multiple locations. • Serve as liaison between the drivers, Market leadership, and other various departments to exchange information and investigate and resolve issues. • Provide training and support to all locations for driver onboarding, vehicle inspection training, telematics use, reporting tools, etc… •

Establish and evaluate work procedures, preventive maintenance and repair standards, service schedules, quality control programs, and policies and procedures consistent with federal, state and local laws. • Provide training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner. • Ensure DOT Driver Qualification files are prepared and submitted for approval for all CMV and CDL drivers. • Provide training on vehicle inspections and the use of DVIR forms. •

Ensure all vehicle/equipment maintenance files are kept current for preventative maintenance, oil changes, annual inspections, brake maintenance and repair, registrations, and insurance. • Coordinate GPS unit installs with Senior Fleet & Market management. • Serve as the Market GPS Administrator, monitor vehicle usage / drivers as needed, produce and review Exception and Summary reports for Market Management use on a weekly basis.

• Update and submit required reports in a timely manner. • Maintain, create, and audit reports

(PowerBI, Excel skillset required: VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, etc) Skills and Experience • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience • Previous administrative experience handling a multitude of tasks simultaneously • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (I.E. - Excel formulas, formatting, reports)

• 2-5 years of fleet administration experience • Management/Supervisory skills are a must • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information • May be required to testify in legal hearings • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license Ability To • Travel (minimum 50%) • Independently resolve regulatory issues with regulatory agencies • Utilize excellent verbal, written, and inter-personal communication skills
