PMO Director (Permanent position, W2 Only)

Job Summary: The Head of Technology Delivery will oversee the successful delivery of technology projects and programs within the organization. This role combines leadership of the Project Management Office (PMO) with strategic oversight of technology delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of technology delivery methodologies, project management best practices, and change management. This role will also oversee our testing and business analysis. This role will oversee a staff of approximately 10+ employees and several contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Strategy:
• Lead the PMO, establishing a clear vision and direction for project delivery within the technology department.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize technology initiatives that align with organizational goals.
• Oversee all the Program/Project and Scrum master with the team.
• Build and oversee all technology delivery processes and procedures.
• Build and oversee the automated testing and business analysis center of excellence (CoE).
2. Project and Process Management Oversight:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all technology projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Implement project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) tailored to the needs of specific projects and teams.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster strong relationships with business units to understand their needs and translate them into actionable technology solutions.
4. Resource Management:
• Manage and mentor a team of project managers, business analysts, and other delivery professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Optimize resource allocation to ensure effective delivery of projects and programs.
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of technology delivery and PMO initiatives.
• Regularly report on project status, risks, and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
6. Risk Management:
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on delivery and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations related to project management and technology delivery.
7. Change Management:
• Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
• Develop training and support programs to facilitate smooth transitions for end-users.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technology delivery and project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale technology projects and leading PMOs.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
